Iraq On the Collective Mind
BlogPulse's first few days of existence were dominated procedurally by a few quick upgrades to "top links" (thanks for the feedback!) and contextually by the news that continues to emerge from Iraq. While traditional media outlets, such as CNN.com and the Washington Post, typically show up as some of the most popular links, this week saw the emergence of the Army Times in the top five because of an editorial challenging leadership at the top levels of the military. Key members of the Bush administraiton, Pentagon leaderhship, Congressional representatives and others continue to dominate the Key People and Key Phrases sections. But Harry Potter has staying power among teen bloggers...and in times like this, perhaps some escapist fantasy is a good thing.
Since its launch on Tuesday, BlogPulse has gained notoriety around the Internet world, including mentions on Yahoo!, WebProNews.com, Tech Knowledge, Wolves, and Micro Persuasion. Continue to send ideas, tips and suggestions to the BlogPulse team.
